Yeah, tonight’s song has some serious funk happening in the opening half. It’s no Parliament, but you really need Bootsy to pull that off. No, this is more of an electro-funk that might have been pulled of by the likes of New Order in their experimental days. Anyways, Moonshot has arrived. This is probably the most aggressive track for the album with a driving bass line and rather relentless percussion, but that’s what I was going for. I consider it mastered, but upon listening in headphones, it’s a little muddy in the low end frequencies, so if I get a chance, I’ll be tweaking it once more.

I managed to master a second song tonight, Luna 3, which was for the most part completed last week. This is the closing song for the album and a fairly ambient piece. It might be a bit on the noisy side to be considered sleepy-time music, but compared to the rest of the album, it is way layed back.

That gives me 6 finished tracks with 33 minutes of music. I have four other track in process, and one track yet to be started. Oh yeah, and I still have to fly Photoshop and Illustrator for liner notes/artwork. And learn how to use Waveburner so I can properly sequence the tracks. Some of the songs are meant to flow together somewhat. Not directly, but more through overlapping sound constructs.

It’s gonna be a fun few days.
